The AWS data centers are as follows, US East has 3 datacenters one located in Ohio, one in Northern Virgina and the other is a GovCloud and when I say GovCloud you can safely assume that New World isn't running on those as they're using mostly by international governmental agencies, DoD contracts and things like that. The reason there are no "Central US" servers in the US is that there are no AWS data centers in the "Central US", there is an AWS datacenter in the central timezone but is located in Canada. The one I see commonly and one that affects me personally, as I live in Texas, is why isn't there a "Central US" server, and everything seems to be isolated to the East and West coast.
Now that we have a basic understanding of the foundation of the New World infrastructure, let's look at a few of the common questions and complaints I have frequently seen on Reddit, Steam, Youtube, Twitch, and the Beta and see if we can get some answers.
The VoIP is a separate program that Amazon uses that interacts with the dedicated server and all of these parts we are discussing are different servers, applications, locations and teams of players and people interacting together simultaneously to give you, the player, a seamless and great gaming experience. You interact with other people and can see them live because the dedicated server is hosting you all at once and you are interacting with each other through that server.

New World is produced by Amazon Game Studios, being owned by Amazon they are going to be using the AWS infrastructure. Let's start by discussing New Worlds' basic infrastructure.
